In order to purchase a firearm in CA you will need to take and pass the Firearm Safety Certificate (study guide) test in store. The test is 30 questions, multiple choice, and costs $25 plus applicable credit card fees.
Upon passing the FSC test you may begin the background check process after you decide which firearm you’d like to purchase.

To begin the DROS or Dealer Record of Sale you must bring with you the following items:
